Governing Council  

Overview

MCA-Armenia's General Council (GC) is composed of 12 voting members (7 Government members and 5 civil society representatives), as well as two non-voting members, i.e. Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) observer and the Environmental observer.





Government members

1. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia (Chairman of the Governing Council)
2. Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Minister of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia,
3. Chief Economic Advisor to the President of the Republic of Armenia
4. Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia (Principal Representative)
5. Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia
6. Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia
7. Minister of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Armenia

 
The civil society representatives are delegated by MCA-Armenia Stakeholders committee following the endorsement of MCC and MCA-Armenia Governing Council. Currently, the delegated representative of the Stakeholder Committee in the GC include:
1. Arman Voskanyan , "Development of Tavush" NGO
2. Karen Zadoyan, "Young Lawyers' Association of Armenia" NGO
3. Shirak Mikaelyan, "Work and Motherland" NGO
4. Poghso Shahinyan, "National Road Safety Council " NGO
5. Victor Yengibaryan, "European Movement of Armenia" NGO

Governing Council has the following responsibilities and authorities, which are non-transferable:

• oversight of the overall implementation of the Program in accordance with the Compact;
• approval of the quarterly disbursement requests to be submitted to MCC ;
• approval of the Reports;
• final approval of Contracts that require MCC and MCA final approval.
