"Mott MacDonald" LLC (UK) is a Consulting Company for the Environmental and Social Assessment Component

According to the consulting contract signed on October 4, 2007 "Mott MacDonald" LLC should act as a consultant for the Environmental and Social Assessment and Oversight.

The key responsibilities of the Contractor include:

- Collection, review and analysis of baseline environmental and social information;
- Development of environmental and social impact assessments;
- Elaboration of environmental management plans;
- Preparation and implementation of resettlement action plans (as needed) within the framework of the Infrastructure Activity of the Irrigated Agriculture project;
- Environmental and social oversight over all activities implemented as part of the MCA-Armenia program.

The contract value is USD 2, 545.745. "Mott MacDonald" is expected to carry out this assignment in 48 months.

"MHW Americas Inc." (USA) is a Consulting Company for the Environmental and Social Assessment Component

According to the consulting contract signed on May 27, 2007 "MHW Americas Inc." (USA) should act as a consultant for the Environmental and Social assessment and oversight and carry out the environmental/hydrological baseline study of wetlands in the Ararat Valley.

According to the Contractor "MHW Americas Inc." should:

- Conduct a comprehensive ecological study of the wetlands in the Ararat Valley to determine the current productivity (in ecological and economic terms) of these areas;
- Conduct a survey of the closed drainage network in terms of the flow of drainage water and suggest measures for the rehabilitation of existing or construction of new open or closed network;
- Identify potential opportunities to replace, protect, enhance, or establish new wetlands.

The contract value is USD 600,996. "MHW Americas Inc." is expected to carry out this assignment in 10 months.
