Contracts


Consulting services contract was signed with Mott MacDonald (UK), individual consultants Jon F Pavey, William Veale who will act as International Technical Experts for Preparation of Bidding Documents for the Irrigated Agriculture Project. The consultants should prepare/revise tender/bidding documents according to MCC and/or FIDIC Standard Bidding Documents (SBD), check consistencies of bidding documents prepared by MCA subcontracted Design Companies, spot check bill of quantities prepared by Design Companies, spot check/revise general technical specifications, specific technical specifications, Employers and Contractors responsibilities, check BOQ for incompleteness e.g. water in canals, dismantling/re-installation of siphons, outlets, pipe crossings etc, check/revise work schedule.

The contract value is USD 79,839, was signed on April 27, 2009 and will last 3 months.


Consulting contract signed with the joint venture consortium of GITEC Consult GmbH (Germany) in association with HGSN Ltd (Armenia) to provide consulting services for the design solutions for rehabilitation of Ararat Valley Drainage System under the MCA-Armenia Irrigated Agriculture Project Infrastructure Activity. The contract includes analysis of the ecological situation, hydrology, surface and subsurface horizontal drainage systems and wells in the Ararat Valley, social and health assessment, as well as designer's field supervision.

The contract value is USD 998,243, was signed on February 20, 2009 and will last 31 months.


Contract was signed with the joint venture consortium of CES Consulting Engineers Salzgitter GmbH (Germany) in association with AHT GROUP AG (Germany) and Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction (Armenia) on the construction supervision of infrastructure works under the MCA-Armenia Irrigated Agriculture project. The contract includes construction supervision of infrastructure rehabilitation works for: 6 main canals, 7 gravity systems, the renovation and resizing of 17 pumping stations, rehabilitation of the drainage system in the Ararat Valley, and oversight of several tertiary canal rehabilitation projects.

The contract value is USD 2.9 million was signed on February 16, 2009 and will last through the duration of the MCA-Armenia Compact term.


Consulting services contract was signed with the winning consultant Axel Braxein, who will act as technical adviser/auditor for Irrigated Agriculture project. The advisor will advise and assist MCA-Armenia in auditing and coordinating design consultants, packaging and sequencing of contracts that best leverages linkages within individual schemes, providing quality assurance and control of construction implementation, and completion of projects.

The contract value is USD 589,800 for a period of 3 years and signed on July 24, 2008.


Contract was signed with the Institute of Water Problems and Hydraulic Engineering n/a V. Yeghiazarov CJSC (Armenia), in partnership with WYG International Ltd (UK) and JEN Financial, Engineering and Management Consulting Limited (Armenia) for the design and construction supervision of up to 523 km of irrigation tertiary canals, 20 tube wells and 55 km of power transmission lines under the MCA-Armenia Irrigated Agriculture project.

The contract value is USD 870,000 for a period of 3 years and signed on July 16, 2008.


Consulting contract with "Hayjrnakhagits Institute" CJSC was signed for the design and construction supervision of 4 gravity irrigation systems as part of the Irrigated Agriculture Project Infrastructure activity. This contract will focus on the feasibility analysis, preparation of final designs and technical supervision of works for constructing four gravity irrigation systems and effectively replacing up to 22 deteriorated and inefficient Soviet-era pumping stations. The four gravity schemes are: Meghri, Tsav-Shikahogh, Spandaryan and Norashenik (Syunik marz).

The contract value is USD 390,000, spanning a period of 39-months and signed on March 25, 2008.


Consulting contract with the Joint Venture of "Jrtuk", "Jrarbi" and "Jinj" LLCs was signed for the design and construction supervision of 8 gravity irrigation systems as part of the Irrigated Agriculture Project infrastructure activity. The contract will focus on the economic justification and feasibility of constructing eight gravity irrigation systems, effectively replacing up to 21 deteriorated and inefficient Soviet-era pumping stations. The eight gravity schemes are: Kaps, Mantash and Tavshut (Shirak marz); Getahovit-Lusadzor and Berd (Tavush marz); Vardenis and Argichi (Gegharkunik marz); and Amrakits (Lori marz). The consultant will also prepare the designs for the 8 gravity irrigation systems and supervise the construction works.

The contract value in AMD is equivalent to USD 955,200, spanning a period of 39-months and signed on February 4, 2008.


Consulting contract was signed with "Hayjrnakhagits Institute" CJSC on the Design and constructions supervision for rehabilitation of six main canals. The Consultant should investigate the technical state, collect environmental and social baseline data, and prepare preliminary and final designs of ancillary structures and final designs for canal sections’ rehabilitation and lining as well as supervise construction works.

The contract value in AMD is equivalent to USD 1,500.000. Signed on September 14, 2007 and the duration of works will be 46 months.


Closed out contracts


Consulting services contract was signed with HR Walingford Ltd (UK), individual consultant Roger Bettess who will act as a short term consultant for Sedimentation of the Irrigated Agriculture Project. The consultant should examine the sediment issues for 6 irrigation structures, make outline design proposals for configurations of head-works and sediment removal works that will reduce sediment ingress to each of the canals and pump stations, provide design criteria for each of the head-works and sediment removal works that can be used to complete detailed designs of the works, and review final designs for the above works when they are complete.

The contract value is USD 41,576, was signed on February 27, 2009 and will last 3 weeks.


Consulting contract was signed with "HayGyughShinNakhagits" LLC for the design and construction supervision of six gravity irrigation systems as part of the Irrigated Agriculture project Infrastructure activity.

The contract value in AMD is equivalent to USD 904,900. Signed on December 14, 2007 and the duration of work will be 37 months.



Contract was signed with "AGAT-777" LLC for rehabilitation of tertiary canals in Abovyan, Arevshat and Lanjazat communities of Ararat marz and Griboyedov community of Armavir marz under the Irrigated agriculture project. According to the contract, "AGAT-777" LLC should construct canals from reinforced concrete flumes, construct steel pipelines from pipes of various diameter, prepare and install flat steel gates, paint steel structures, and arrange joints.

The contract value is 116,862,152 AMD. Signed on January 8, 2008 and the duration of works will be 6 months.


Consulting contract with BRL Ingenierie (France) and Jrtuk LLC (Armenia) Joint Venture was signed for the feasibility study and technical and economic justification of the rehabilitation and increased efficiency of up to 68 pumping stations.

The contract value is USD 429,800. Signed on December 13, 2007 and the duration of work will be 49 weeks.


Consulting contract was signed with "Hayjrnakhagits Institute" CJSC for the survey on technical and economical justification for a project that will construct five new irrigation reservoirs (Argichi, Vardenut, Lernarot, Bagravan, Lichk), rehabilitate one existing reservoir (Artik) and adapt uncompleted works for one dam (Kaps) of the MCA-Armenia Irrigated Agriculture Project Infrastructure Activity.

The contract value in AMD is equivalent to USD 210,000. Signed on December 13, 2007 and the duration of work will be 7 months.
