RURAL ROADS REHABILITATION

Implementing entity

On January 15, 2007, Millennium Challenge Account - Armenia SNCO (MCA-Armenia) and the Armenian Road Directorate (ARD) SNCO signed an Implementing Entity Agreement, according to which the MCA-Armenia is going to implement Rural Roads Rehabilitation Project (RRRP) through ARD. According to the Agreement ARD will implement all activities necessary for timely and effective implementation of RRRP. The Agreement stipulates the following key responsibilities for ARD:

- preparation of bidding documents and RFP's;
-preparation of the project implementation schedule;
-oversight of the works, carried out by construction contractors, consultants and goods suppliers;
-monitoring and evaluation;
-consulting construction contractors;
-inform MCA-Armenia on the inconsistency of the quality and quantity of goods, civil works, and services with the technical standards as foreseen by the respective contracts.

The Agreement with ARD is signed for 5 years with the total amount of USD 1.087 million.
