Mr. Hambardzumyan has been represented as a president of the Federation of Agricultural Associations Union of Legal Entities (FAA ULE) since its establishment date, and he manages the functional areas of the organization such as Sales and Marketing, Finance and Public Relations.
Mr. Hambardzumyan is also a chairman of Competitive Grants Committee on "Rural Enterprise and Small Scale Commercial Agriculture Development Project."
Living in the Gay village, Armavir marz Mr. Hambardzumyan is engaged in his private farming business also.
Vardan Hambardzumyan received a Master Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Yerevan State University in 1990.
"Federation of Agricultural Associations" Union of Legal was established in December 2001 with the initiative of 8 local agricultural organizations.
The mission of FAA is to promote the development of agricultural cooperatives and contribute to the solving the common problems, including legal, management, administrative, financial and social issues.
Today the FAA has 19 agricultural member cooperatives, and the total number of farmers from which is about 1250.
The FAA have established and develops central systems such as management and educational, legal services systems, and systems aimed at supplying and consuming agricultural products, as well as providing necessary financial services to the member cooperatives and farmers in order to insure effective functioning of its member Agricultural Cooperatives. The FAA contributes to the implementation of new agricultural technologies, as well as organizes and implements informational and educational seminars on the spheres of legislation, accounting, business consulting, tax legislation and agriculture. The FAA also presents and defends rights and interests of its members in courts, at public and self governing local authorities.
The FAA has worked out and implements the Strategic Plan of 2007-2011. The goals as well as strategic actions are identified in the strategic plan for contributing to the successful achievement of the mission of the organization, which aims to develop agriculture in Armenia and create favorable and sustainable working environment for Armenian farmers.
On May 2, 2006 Mr. Hambardzumyan as a representative of civil society was elected as MCA-Armenia Stakeholders' Committee member and was delegated to MCA-Armenia Governing Council.
