Structure

Having musical education, Vehanush Hovhanissyan experienced herself in other field of educatuion 'Social Work and Social Politics". She has also participated in different trainings lead by local and international organizations.

She is involved in many social activities, namely she is a member of board created within RA Water Management Institutional and Legislative Strengthening Project, member of group for Anticorruption participating monitoring, Member of "Clean Gyumri" initiative, GRINGO net member, UNICEF network member etc.

Vehanush Hovhanissyan is the founder and the president of "Meghvik" children and youth non governmental organization of Gyumri and "Meghvik" community development foundation, founded in 2005.

She is a member of MCA-Armenia Stakeholders' Committee as a civil society representative.

"Meghvik" children and youth NGO is a multifunctional resource center providing alternative services to Armenian NGOs.

The aim of "Meghvik" children and youth NGO is to promote democracy development in Armenia, civil society development, human rights protection, social partnership establishment, insuring cooperation of mutual profitability, improvement of social state of vulnerable groups, strengthening the institutional capacities of initiative groups /NGOs, community groups, unions/ through partnership, training, consultation, special events, mediation, material assistance.

Goals

1. to promote the building, development and strengthening of NGOs through trainings and consultations.
2. to promote the advocacy of marginal groups and change of public policy relating their rights.
3. To promote the improvement of life quality of indigent groups - children, women, elders.
4. To promote the creation alternative opportunities for career orientation.

* Providing social assistance to all beneficiaries of the NGO
* Reporting activity addressed to awareness increase of children and youth on children's rights.

* to organize care for elders and promote their integration to the society.
* to organize care and rest of children from socially indigent families.
