Being a graduate of Armenian Agrarian Institute, Hrachik Javadyan`s professional career has always been connected with the same Institute, now Armenian Agrarian University.

In 2006 he was elected as Head of the Department of Agrarian Policy and Extension.

In 1987 Hrachik Javadyan stood for his candidate thesis and received a scientific degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences, later Degree of Associate Professor.

Being a Correspondent-Member of Academy of Agricultural Sciences, H. Javadyan has published 33 scientific articles on different Economic Issues.

With his initiative and active participation the Foundation of Applied Research and Agribusiness had been created in 1998. H. Javadyan is the Executive Director of the Foundation from its creation day until now.

Foundation of Applied Research and Agribusiness is one of the Armenian organizations established by the support and sponsorship of the USDA. FARA implements applied research, irrigation water efficient usage, water well and pipelines construction and rehabilitation as well as educational projects with the participation of specialists from the Armenian Agricultural Academy, Ministry of Agriculture of RA, Agricultural Support Centers, Agrogitaspyur, farmers and the leading specialists Centers.

Applied Research Projects were aimed at increasing the efficiency of agricultural crops and integrated pest management, high-quality food production, production of virus-free elite potato planting material, researches of agricultural animals' gene pool preservation, production, processing and marketing of seasoning plants and herbs used in cooking and at the other areas of agriculture.
Well-known specialists of agrarian sphere and high qualified scientists from Armenian Agricultural Academy, Zoology Research Institute, Yerevan State University, Ministry of Agriculture of the RA, as well as agents of Agricultural Regional Support Center, farmers, students and specialists were involved in the projects, annual average number of which is from 250 to 280 workers.
Water Well and Pipe Lines Construction and Rehabilitation Projects were realized in 10 marzes of Armenia. The total number of units exceeds 120, by means of which drinking water and an opportunity to irrigate 2500-2700 ha of arable lands were provided for 28 thousand people.

Our activity and work was positively estimated by US ambassadors to Armenia: Michael Lemon and John Ordway and representatives of US Department of Defense, which participated in the opening ceremonies of Water Wells and Pipe Lines.
FARA and its director were often awarded certificates by the directors of USDA MAP: Bill Millers, Craig Infanger, Allan Lines and by the US representatives involved in research projects implemented by FARA.
Its activity was also greatly appreciated by the Government of Armenia. The members of FARA's Council are involved in different responsible positions and committees.
In May 2006 Hrachik Javadyan was elected as a member of MCA-Armenia program Stakeholders' Committee as a civil society representative.
