Stakeholders' Committee

Structure

On June, 2, 2008 Jirayr Karapetyan joined the MCA-Armenia Stakeholders' Committee.
Being a lawyer J. Karapetyan has been engaged in public activities since 1999. Starting from 2005 he is working with "Achilles" Center for Protection of Drivers' Rights NGO in the position of a lawyer. J. Karapetyan is among the teaching staff of the election committee of the Central Bank.
"Justice" Youth NGO, established in 2002, is focused on human rights' protection issues.
It is cooperating with a number of non-governmental organizations and is a full and equal member of the National Youth Council of Armenia, as well as "League of the Citizens' Rights Protection" Legal Persons' Union.

Goals and Objectives

- Promote the development and progress of the Republic of Armenia
- Unite the efforts of the youth to protect their rights and authorized interests
- Contribute to the civil society development in Armenia
- Promote to the strengthening of democracy and national state system, etc.

Implemented projects

- Competition "Study Trial" with participation of future lawyers, as well as competition "Lessons of history" with participation of school children
- Legal assistance to the socially vulnerable groups, including free of charge legal consultation for the young people
- "Informed young family" project aimed at increasing the level of knowledge on legal issues
- Assistance to the elections process organizing issues, training for local observes.

"Justice" NGO is located in Yerevan and has branches in the marzes of Armenia, including Artsakh, Kotayk, Lori, Tavush, as well as representations in Moscow and Tbilisi.
The organization has more than 500 volunteers and serves to 2000 stakeholders annually.
