Stakeholders' Committee

Structure

Vanik Soghomonyan is a member of MCA-Armenia Program Stakeholders' Committee and represents farmer groups and stakeholder community in the Governing Council of the Program.
In 1971 he has graduated from the Armenian Agrarian Institute, Department of "Agricultural Mechanization", is the author of a number of scientific articles and innovations, as well as a candidate of Technical Sciences (equivalent to Ph Degree ).

Now V. Soghomonyan is the head of the "Agroservice" Open Joint Stock Company of Shahumyan. Prior to this V. Soghomonyan had worked in the Mechanization and Electrification Enterprise of Shahumyan first as the Chief Engineer then as the Manager of the Enterprise.

In the phase of land privatization, new economic developments and hardships in the country the above mentioned Enterprise uniting with pedigree state farm was transformed into Open Joint Stock Company. In this respect V. Soghomonyan implemented a number of activities and projects to reach high level in the pedigree farming and by now with its qualitative characteristics it is considered one of the best and unique pedigree farms in the Republic of Armenia. This farm has milk and meat reprocessing shops, as well as food humus and food gas shops. As the pedigree farming established by V. Soghomonyan is operating based on very high standards it serves as a farm resource and educational centre for many farmers in Armenia.

Besides being a farmer and a firm Director V. Soghomonyan is the head of the National Union of Farmers. In the framework of the Union activities seminar discussions, trainings and meetings are periodically organized for farmer household representatives to introduce new techniques and methods and efficiently operate them.

V. Soghomonyan was awarded with an Ananya Shirakatsi medal for his outstanding contribution in agriculture and entrepreneurship development.
