Stakeholders' Committee
MCA-Armenia Stakeholders' Committee is a consultative body and is called to ensure wide civil society participation at different stages of the Program implementation. Through the MCA-Armenia Stakeholders' Committee society gets an opportunity to receive information on the MCA-Armenia Program and its implementation as well as ensures true participatory process.
The fifteen members of the Committee who have been elected through open and transparent elections (closed secret voting) represent different stakeholder groups: WUAs, farmer households, public sector and stakeholder communities.
The Stakeholders' Committee delegates five of its members to the MCA-Armenia SNCO Governing Council to become fully and directly involved in the governance and decision-making of the Program. The Stakeholders' Committee is guided by the Bylaws on the SC activities as well as the MCA-Armenia Program Compact and other related documents.
Stakeholders' Committee appoints Environmental Observer, representative of an environmentally focused NGO to serve as an observer on the Governing Council (see Compact, Annex I-8).
