Structure

Andranik Veranyan, architect-constructor by his profession (Yerevan Polytechnic Institute) has established "Yerevak" NGO in 1998, the President of which he is still now. From 1996 to 1998 A. Veranyan worked with the "Save the Children" US organization as a Program Director, then coordinated a number of projects of the "Save the Children", in particular, in the Tavush marz. Mr. Veranyan also served as a consultant for the "Urban Institute".

Andranik Veranyan is a participant of a number of local and international trainings and conferences, particularly "Small and medium business capacity" training by the US education development academy and Armenian foundation on protection from unemployment, Partnership Project of Peace Corps, etc. A. Veranyan' teaching and training abilities often serve him a reason to get involved as local consultant and trainer in projects by various local and international organizations.

Mr. Veranyan participated in a training "Conflict management in rural communities" in Germany, 2003, as well as the "conference on early prevention" in 2005.
In 2003 A. Veranyan was elected as the General Director of Noyemberyan Community Union which he is representing as a Stakeholders' Committee member.

Noyemberyan Community Union

The Union is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization.
The mission of the organization is to support to the development and improvement of management efficiency. The organization is aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of the socially vulnerable layer of the nation, as well as assisting to the community development of Noyemberyan region through trainings, employment programs, and information distribution.
The activities of the organization are covering 18 communities of Noyemberyan (16 rural and 2 urban communities).
The primary objectives of the Noyemberian Community union are:

- Coordinate the activities of the members of the Union, as well as present their communal and property interests;
- Contribute to realization of the principles on the regional self-governance as defined by the law on "Regional self-Governance";
- Organize the internal capacity of the community to solve the socio-economic problems of the local population;
- Assist to the improvement of the socio-economic condition of refugees, their full integration;
- Support to the development of agrarian sector and business sector in the region.

Among numerous projects implemented by the Union are:

Repair works of drinking and irrigation water pipes, providing kindergartens and schools with gas, improvement of public services provided, efficient management in regional self-administration, supporting projects for farmers, work with population, etc.
In the recent years the NCU has undertaken the electronic management of property and land taxes of more than 15 communities.
