Structure

Ashot Voskanyan is a member of MCA-Armenia Program Stakeholders' Committee representing larger farmer groups and civil society.

Currently A. Voskanyan is the leader of "Agridevelopment" NGO. He is also serving as the Director of the "National Centre for Agricultural Assistance" CJC. Among all these activities A. Voskanyan served as the experts team leader of the "Agricultural Sector Sustainable Development Strategy" Program where he took the responsibility of the program development, monitoring and ensured effective communication with experts from international community (2000-2006).

All his prior professional experiences had been connected with the Agriculture Sector where he carried out major development activities and held outstanding positions among which Minister of Agriculture of RA (1993-1995), Director of Armenian Agriculture Union (1996-1998).

In 1979 Ashot Voskanyan received a Master Degree in Agriculture Economy and Management from Armenian Agricultural Institute. He has also participated in a number of development and reform projects, holds a Ph Degree in Economical Sciences, and is the author of a number of scientific works.

On the Mission and Activities of "Agridevelopment" NGO

The mission of "Agridevelopment" NGO is to assist to further economic reform implementation in the system of agro food, develop and implement long-term and short term law projects aimed at the field development, start the public movement to promote and assist the development of agrarian sector, create effective management system of national Agriculture, regulate agro environment sector issues, protect agrobiodiversity and scientifically defined usage Process.

By uniting the potential of different management units and organizations "Agridevelopment'' NGO carries out projects and activities to promote further development of agro economic sector of the Republic, improve production relations, enlarge the market of demanded agro products and cooperate with all the interested organizations from both national and international sector.

The organization emphasizes the importance of assistance to the market relations development and business management in the rural communities to promote the creation of rural household agriculture units, raise efficiency of land usage and sell the agro production with least possible loss.

The "Agridevelopment'' NGO aims to implement scientific, research and development, financial projects in the system of agro food which are called to ensure the implementation and development of Science and new technologies and win sustainable role in the national and foreign markets.
The organization provides consultation services to rural households, has played an active role in creation of rural management units, as well as development of Program Procedures on Agrarian sector, in particular drafting the Agriculture development Strategy in the Republic of Armenia.
